The Jameson Connection
The long association between the Jameson family and Portmarnock began in 1847 when John Jameson III, the grandson of the Jameson Distillery at Bow Street, moved to St Marnocks. His eldest son, John Jameson IV, inherited the house and incorporated the Jameson family crest into the building design with part of the crest still visible today on the exterior wall of the front entrance. The 2019 purchase of Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links proudly represents our first investment in Ireland.
